Partial Solar Eclipse Oxie 4 January 2011.
The weather prospects didn't look very good when we went up to go to the
Tycho Brahe Observatory. We had prepared very well for the observations
on Sunday with lots of instruments. Swedish TV, radio and a newspaper came.

The local radiostation parked at the water tower before dawn, and later even the
main local Swedish TV channel showed up.

We had a webcam to report directly on the observatory's website. Hans Kronkvist
on the steps. Inside, Tobias from the local radio is interviewing Niklas Henricson,
the leader of the observatory.

The TV team is interviewing some of the people inside the observatory, while
Torsten Olsson and Erik Johansson is trying to spot the horizon where the sun was
supposed to come up. They have probably dug up the observation site in vain.

Tora is showing Tobias the horizon through the fog. It became very dark
during maximum, which was 83% in our location.
However, one of our group, Göran Iveberg, went to Stockholm for the holidays,
and had a wonderful solar eclipse.
